Vision Statement

"We will be a healing influence in the communities we serve. We will improve health status, create easy access, and establish a cost-effective, quality health system."
-- St. Francis Hospital Vision Statement

In locations throughout the Northern Delaware community, the healing work of St. Francis Hospital is evident. Our traveling St. Clare Van is parked in some of our neighborhoods with the greatest needs. At the Center of Hope in Newark, we are providing prenatal care to low-income women to reduce Delaware's infant mortality rate, and offering primary care to migrant workers and the homeless.

At St. Francis Hospital, we strive to maintain our reputation for patient-centered care, while at the same time remaining among the region's lowest cost hospital providers. We have realized great success by implementing new approaches to managing patient care and expanding our outpatient and home care services. These initiatives include mapping new treatment guidelines to help patients recover from illness or injury, establishing new models of caregiving that enable clinical teams to communicate more effectively about the patients we serve, and expanding access to lower-cost care alternatives.
